ODE TO A SCORPIO

I thanked you for your poetry
then told you
I didn't want any involvement
only friends

and then
you pursued me
relentlessly,
feverently,
with no holds barred

I told myself
you only wanted an ebony fantasy
then persuaded myself
you did not

your lines were too smooth
you emphatically stated
too hard
you were an honorable man
a good man
the rightness of our meeting
how you had never met anyone like me
never felt so at ease with a woman
made me fell a part of your life
as you spoke of our future

union
together

and soon I bought into the fantasy
weeeeee
were meant to
beeeeeeee,
two of the fortunate ones
who miraculously found each other

I was the angel in your dreams

. . .and yet
in moments of lucidity
I felt your game
the deception

too good to be true
too smooth, too sincere, too open
words too well rehearsed
the sign of a man
who knows how to say
what this woman
wanted
to hear

and
as soon as you said
November 3rd
red
red
red
each tango with a Scorpio
has left my face
crack'd

I quashed my champion
convinced myself
all your lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies, lies,
were
Truth
Sincere
Honest

a month later
I sit alone, heart intact
thankful,
nonetheless
played, foolish
wiser,
with a twist of bitterness

Always,
Always, Always, Always, Always,

Always, Always, Always,
Always
Always
Always,
Always,
Always,
Always,

. . . trust. . . listen. . . honor. . . respect

your

gut

instincts

RAIN OF KISSES

Moisture gathered by the hour,
rising up in clouds until the sky
is cloaked in gray fury
Thunder rumbles
and lightning slashes
at the sky...
as we sit
safe and warm,
kissing
by embers glow
and flames delight
Rain relieves the sky's distress
and refreshes the earth
And kisses wander here
and there,
now finding soft hair
or warm cheek,
kisses find now
a soft peak here
and there a dewy valley
Kisses
to know kisses
to explore
As the rain
makes every thing wet
Kisses to know
A rain of kisses

the face croons a soft sadness
as it sings to me
she breathes,
smooth sweeps
and succulant smiles,
stay awhile
as i feel your heart speak to me

*~*Loving You Anyway*~*

So let them say it's wrong,
for me to love you
They could never feel the way
that i do when we kiss,
when were close like this
They cant see inside my soul,
They cant know the love we know
All they do is waste their time,
They cant NEVER change my mind!
I know its real,
all i hear is what my heart says
Let them say i'm a fool
to fall so deeply
How can they even talk that way?
They cant see you through my eyes,
they cant feel this love inside
All their words dont mean a thing
They cant change the was I feel
I have never felt so
sure about anything
See YOU are the one that I need
It doesn't matter what
they think or what they say,
I'm LOVING You Anyway!!

untitled ii

As my heart lies in broken pieces upon the ground,
You don't even know the pieces exist

As my tears fall like liquid diamonds upon my cheeks,
You don't even feel the pain I am going through
You don't even know about the broken pieces of the
heart that still loves you And that always will

As my voice echoes through the silent atmosphere,
You don't even hear the resounding cry

As the mist swirls silently around me, chilling the tears,
You don't even care that I suffer the agony of lost love
You wouldn't even look back to see
the face of the girl who loved you and who always will

But the pieces are there because of me
I made a big deal out of something that was not even true
I should have told u what i thought i knew what was going on
but instead I messed it all up

and it looks like we will never be together again

because of me
